BMUFOR - Billy Meier's Outer Space Pictures: Horsehead Nebula

Billy Meier's Great Journey in space described in Contact Report 31, had took place between July 17-22, 1975. Meier boarded the Great Spacer, the mother ship of the Plejaren and after visiting some planets and taking photographs, our Solar system was left behind. The ship is allegedly capable of making 'hyper-leaps' or hyperspace jumps, jumping from one place in the universe to another in an instant, and Meier was taken to different places in the Galaxy. As described in Contact Report 31, Meier was also taken relatively close to the Horsehead Nebula:

121. In a few seconds we will start the next leap.

(Billy: I only half hear his words, because my thoughts are elsewhere. Automatically I put my focus on myself and wonder about the fact that I suddenly can't see my body. Once again this takes only seconds, which I can verify by looking at my watch. And now I wonder about Ptaah's words. He has captured my thoughts, and he knows exactly what I think. Apparently, I just let them run free and uncontrolled. But with my watch it's also strange; when close to Semjase's beamship, the watch always went too fast or too slow. For some time now that is no longer the case, and it works perfectly. But I haven't yet…)

122. We have reached our next goal, which is 1810 light years away from Earth.
123. You call the strange looking formation there, far out in space and 200 light years away, the Horsehead Nebula.

The above picture (left) of the Horsehead Nebula which Meier allegedly photographed during his space journey has been published on page 256 of Plejadisch-plejarische Kontaktberichte Block 1. This picture is a part of the collection of 42 space photos - which around 2001 'was strictly ensured, with the help of Ptaah, that it only concerned “Billy’s” genuine pictures or his pictures that were only slightly falsified’ - most of which are published in PPKB 1 and 2.

Why is Meier's Horsehead Nebula picture practically identical to an earth-based observatory picture ?
Is Meier's picture a genuine or a fake ?

Fulfilled or Not ? - Billy Meier/ET' Prediction on the 'Largest plant-eating dinosaurs'

Michael Horn, the authorized American media Representative of Billy Meier case, has published yet once again another so-called corroboration article - Too Stupid to Survive? - on Jan 11, 2015 regarding the Meier/ETs 'prediction' of the largest plant-eating dinosaur, that allegedly proves Meier's claim of being in contact with ETs.

In that article, Michael made the following conclusion that he derived based on his "analysis":

"Now, unless you are among the walking brain dead, which may also include politicians, religious fundamentalists, scientists, university professors, etc., you’ll easily recognize the ironclad nature of what constitutes a legal standard of proof of prior publication. If you have any trouble with that, please stop now, go to church, a political meeting, your local university, etc., and don’t trouble yourself with actually…thinking.

How did he (Note: Billy Meier) get that information if not exactly as he said he did, from the Plejaren?"

And after this conclusion, he refers and appeals - to those "special" group of people who somehow are able to verify and acknowledge the scientific veractiy behind Michael's corrboration claims - as follows:

"If you haven’t at this point called everyone you know to tell them that you’ve just read (more) ironclad proof of Billy Meier’s prophetic scientific accuracy and that you now know that Meier’s contacts with extraterrestrials are absolutely authentic…then there’s something stone cold wrong with you."

Is there any truth at all to any of the Michael Horn's claims or are they just like other pseduo-scientific claims that were deconstructed recently?

Let us now analyze his scientific evidence and reasoning which he put forths as "ironclad proof of Billy Meier’s prophetic scientific accuracy".

Michael Horn cites the below information (summarized) from Billy Meier's Contact Report 221 which was allegedly published in 1987 (which we will get into later in Objection #3) in his corroboration article:
    • The largest plant-eating, long-neck dinosaurs lived in what is now Patagonia, around 100 million years ago and the largest specimens reached up to 60 meters in length and exhibited a weight of around 135 tons.

His evidence is a May 2014 article - 'Biggest dinosaur ever' discovered - published by BBC. The article describes a new species of Titanosaur (a sub-group of sauropod dinosaurs which are herbivorous) that was being unearthed in the Patagonia region of Argentina.

Based on its huge thigh bones, Paleontologists who worked on the specimen calculated that the Titanosaur would be 40m (130ft) long and 20m (65ft) tall, weighing in at 77 tonnes. Based on the age of the rocks in which its bones were found, it was calculated that it lived in the forests of Patagonia between 95 and 100 million years ago.

Michael apparently reasons that since the May 2014 discovery of the "biggest" dinosaur to date that lived between 95-100 mya in Patagonia closely matches with the Meier's information from "1987" which is 27 years before the May 2014 discovery - then this can be considered as the "ironclad proof of Billy Meier’s prophetic scientific accuracy".

There are many flaws and fallacies in Michael Horn's reasoning, which are very basic in nature and we will explain them in detail below.

    Objection #1:

Let us suppose that Meier really published the information on Dinosaurs from CR 221 in 1987. Now the obvious problem is how does the May 2014 article corroborate the CR 221 information ?

There were multiple discoveries of plant-eating, long-neck dinosaurs that have been discovered over the decades and each time, whenever a larger (in length) species was discovered than the previous ones, it was naturally crowned as the 'largest or the biggest dinosaur ever'. These multiple discoveries were made at different locations other than Patagonia and the age of these dinosaurs fossils too varied by several million years.

As an example, Brachiosaurus, a genus of sauropod dinosaur was first described by an American paleontologist Elmer S. Riggs in 1903 from fossils found in the Grand River Canyon (now Colorado River) of western Colorado, in the United States. Riggs named the dinosaur Brachiosaurus altithorax, declaring it "the largest known dinosaur". Even in 1990, the discovery of Argentinosaurus (in Patagonia) made it the largest known dinosaur at that time. And several others that followed in the subsequent years like this one in Patagonia in the year 2000 and few after.

Is it not possible that scientists in the future would find an even larger species than the one described in the May 2014 BBC article at another location (ex: North America, Asia, Africa, etc.) ?

Logically speaking, it is totally possible and there are no scientific reasons to argue that it is impossible. If it is so, then it is totally illogical to conclude that the biggest plant-eating Sauropods that ever walked on Earth would only be found in the Patagonia region and that the age of the fossils would be around 100 million years.

Perhaps Mr. Horn can offer us some scientific reasons as to why the dinosaur fossils - larger/bigger than the one as mentioned in the BBC article or the ones as mentioned in Meier's CR 221 - cannot be found in the other regions of the world.

    Objection #2:

Estimating the length, height and weight of the dinosaur species is a very difficult job given their usually fragmentary state of preservation. Even the BBC article, Michael Horn posted has this information that expressed doubts on the finding for the biggest/largest dinosaur title, which for some reason he neglected:

"Dr Paul Barrett, a dinosaur expert from London's Natural History Museum, agreed the new species is "a genuinely big critter. But there are a number of similarly sized big sauropod thigh bones out there," he cautioned.

"Without knowing more about this current find it's difficult to be sure. One problem with assessing the weight of both Argentinosaurus and this new discovery is that they're both based on very fragmentary specimens - no complete skeleton is known, which means the animal's proportions and overall shape are conjectural.

"Moreover, several different methods exist for calculating dinosaur weight (some based on overall volume, some on various limb bone measurements) and these don't always agree with each other, with large measures of uncertainty.

"So it's interesting to hear another really huge sauropod has been discovered, but ideally we'd need much more material of these supersized animals to determine just how big they really got.""

As you can see the same BBC article clearly stated that there are "a number of similarly sized big sauropod thigh bones out there" essentially making them also as the contenders for the biggest/largest dinosaur title. For some reason this was not taken into account by Michael Horn.

Also another article - Biggest Dinosaur Ever? Maybe. Maybe Not. - published just a day after the BBC article by National Geographic explains it better on why we have to read these 'biggest or largest dinosaur' claims (as the one with the BBC article) with caution. Another similar article - The Largest Dinosaur Ever Unearthed May Not Actually Be the Largest - was published 3 days after the BBC article by Vice.

These two article talks about other similar & even far better contenders to the one being mentioned in the BBC article, for the largest or the biggest dinosaur title. For example, the mysterious dinosaur, the Amphicoelias fragillimus - at 58 metres (190 ft) in length, and may have had a mass of up to 122.4 tonnes (135 short tons) - making it the largest/biggest dinosaur that ever lived. It size was calculated based on the surviving descriptions of a single fossil bone that was discovered in the Morrison Formation (site was dated to be 150 million years ago), western US. The only fossil remains were lost at some point after being studied and described in the 1870s, evidence survives only in drawings and field notes. But due to the lack of any material evidence, the title of the largest/biggest dinosaur is still pending for this species and also to other giant Sauropod species which has very little fragmentary evidence to work with.

May be in the future paleontologists will find a full skeleton of this mysterious dinosaur Amphicoelias fragillimus in the Morrison Formation, US or at places other than Patagonia, thus  making it the largest/biggest dinosaur ever to walk on the Earth. But again, who knows may be there is yet another fossil waiting to be discovered that surpasses all previous estimates, even the Amphicoelias fragillimus. There are no reasons at all to suggest that it is impossible.

On September 4 2014, an NBC article - Dreadnoughtus: A New Giant Joins the 'Biggest Dinosaur' Parade - was published. Though its size - estimated to be about 85 feet (26 meters) long, 30 feet (9 meters) tall, and weighed about 65 tons (59 metric tons) - is smaller compared to the May 2014 Titanosaur fossil, it was reported by the article to be the 'biggest dinosaur' based on the completeness of the skeleton. Drexel University paleontologist and the lead author of the paper on the discovery, Kenneth Lacovara stated that Titanosaurus which was reported in May 2014 as the biggest dinosaur was based on a mere smattering of bones, or on analyses that haven't yet been subjected to peer review. In contrast, he says that the estimate of Dreadnoughtus' size and weight was based on measurements of more than 100 separate elements, including most of the tail vertebrae, a yard-long (meter-long) neck vertebra, numerous ribs and nearly all the bones from the forelimbs and hindlimbs. Researchers unearthed about 45 percent of the skeleton's full complement of bones, representing 70 percent of the bone types found below the skull (for example, a left rib without the mirror-image right rib). Lacovara said that no other dinosaur measured in this crucial way has been judged to be as big.

Once again an article - Dreadnoughtus Was Probably Not the Biggest Dinosaur Ever - was published by Vice one day after NBC article clearing the misconception on the biggest/largest title.

    Objection #3:

So far, we have deconstructed Michael Horn's pseudo-scientific arguments, without the need to bring up the publication date of the Contact Report 221 information. Even though we don't need it here, let us look into that argument as well.

Michael says the following regarding the publication date of the CR 221 in his article:

"Let’s just walk through a couple of indisputable facts; indisputable if you aren’t a brain dead skeptic.
Meier’s information below was first published in 1987.

In 1987, Billy Meier was given and first published information saying that, “The largest plant-eating dinosaurs lived in what is now Patagonia.”"

When was CR 221 published for the first time and available to public?

Michael Horn doesn't present any evidence at all to support his own claims, instead he repeats it again and again as if it is an indisputable fact, which unfortunately is taken as truth by his followers.

The truth is that CR 221 was never ever published in 1987. It was for the first time verifiably published in Plejadisch-Plejarische Kontaktberichte Block 5 in 2004. Even this fact was conveyed to him by Simon in the comment section on his blog post.

    "January 11, 2015 at 9:48 am
For the record: contact report 221 was first published in 2004 in Plejadisch-plejarische Kontaktberichte block 5."

After this comment, Michael Horn has newly added a note to his article saying this:

"*NOTE: Contact Report 221 was also published in German in 2004 in Plejadisch-plejarische Kontaktberichte block 5."

As you can see the difference between the two statements in red color. It seems Michael Horn still believes that the CR 221 information on dinosaurs was first published in 1987, though he doesn't have any evidence to back it up.

Where is the evidence for the 1987 publication Mr. Horn ?

Perhaps I should change the title of this post to 'Too stupid to think?' or 'Too stupid to google?'.

BMUFOR: Are Wendelle Stevens' claims on CIA involvement and other paranormal events during Billy Meier investigation true?

Wendelle Stevens @International UFO Congress, 2006

During their investigation into the Billy Meier case, Wendelle Stevens, Tom Welsch, Lee & Brit Elders have made many trips to the FIGU center in Switzerland. According to Wendelle Stevens, the intelligence services of many countries - Switzerland, West Germany, East Germany, France, US, UK, Austria, Czechoslvakia, USSR, etc. -  were also very interested in the Meier case and their investigation, and that their investigation team had many encounters with them. Wendelle also reported many strange things that were happening during their trips to Switzerland, some of which according to him seemed to have been arranged by the intelligence agencies, others so strange and unexplainable that they could probably only have been caused by the Pleiadians/Plejaren.

The activities of these intelligence agencies and other issues are also described in an article published in 2012 in UFO Digest titled 'Billy Meier and the CIA' (Part 1 & Part 2).

Is there any truth to these claims of Wendelle Stevens, which are being used as one of the strong evidences that supports the authenticity of the Meier case?

To know the answer, visit: BMUFOR

Also visit the new category page - Other's Investigations on BMUFOR website. Introduction to that page reads as follows:

"Over the years, many people or groups have investigated the Meier case and came to very different conclusions on the authenticity of the case, which is not surprising considering the quantity, quality and variety of evidence. Some people or groups have investigated several aspects of the case, while others focused on only a few particular aspects, mostly the photo and video material. We’ve listed the most prominent research initiatives in a more or less chronological order, including our own ‘investigation into previous investigation’ and any communication we’ve had with other researchers etc."

Fulfilled or not ? - 'Massive ocean inside Earth' & 'Temperature of the Earth's core' Predictions

Michael Horn, the authorized American media Representative of Billy Meier has published yet once again another so-called corroboration article - New Corroboration of Billy Meier’s Prophetically Accurate Scientific Information (Jan 6, 2014) - that allegedly proves Meier's claim of being in contact with ETs. He further said the following:

"Now of course the skeptics and debunkers will really have to work hard to tell us just how Meier “hoaxed” his advance knowledge of…so many things. He couldn’t just be – telling the truth about his 73-year-long contact with the Plejaren extraterrestrial human race, could he?"

Should one "really have to work hard" to tell that this corroboration claim is a bogus one ?
    Absolutely not!

This alleged corroboration claim just like the previous ones which have been demonstrated on BMUFOR website and on this blog page, will be revealed below as nothing but pseduo-scientific claims.

Now let us analyze the claims made by Michael Horn. In his article, Michael Horn made two claims.
    1. Massive ocean discovered inside Earth
    2. Temperature of Earth's core is same as the surface of the Sun
    1. Massive ocean discovered inside Earth

Michael writes the following in his article:

"A new article in NewScientist, titled Massive ‘ocean’ discovered towards Earth’s core, reports that a “reservoir of water three times the volume of all the oceans has been discovered deep beneath the Earth’s surface.”
This “new discovery” apparently wasn’t so new to the Plejaren, as Ptaah mentions “enormous masses of water also located in the interior of the earth” in his discussion about numerous terrestrial matters with Billy Meier in the 540th Contact, on May 19, 2012…two years before this “new discovery”."

What does the June 12, 2014 NewScientist article say:

"A reservoir of water three times the volume of all the oceans has been discovered deep beneath the Earth's surface. The finding could help explain where Earth's seas came from.
The water is hidden inside a blue rock called ringwoodite that lies 700 kilometres underground in the mantle, the layer of hot rock between Earth's surface and its core."

What does the Contact Report (CR) 540 say:

...Then, however, I have here one more question on account of the earth's magnetism, which for a long time already, should become increasingly weaker. Can you tell me the reason for this?
..And since the Earth's magnetism is not equally strong everywhere on the planet and magnetism-fluctuations appear, that can have negative consequences in many connections...A disturbing influence takes place, e.g., with regard to the movements of the earths petroleum lakes located in the interior of the planet, as enormous masses of water also located in the interior of the earth, will however move in equal measure, which would bedeck the whole earth kilometers-high, would they penetrate to the outside...

    Objection #1:
In CR 540, ET Ptaah just says "enormous masses of water" but he didn't specify how many times the quantity of earth oceans (NewScientist says 3 times) is present inside the Earth. Also he didn't specify the region, the distance from the Earth's surface where this "ocean" region (NewScientist says around 700 kms in Mantle layer) is located. Remember, the radius of the Earth is 6,371 km (3,959 miles)So objectively speaking, Meier's information in CR 540 is pretty vague and nowhere does it reveal any specific, unambiguous information (strong enough to prove Meier's claims), as was published in the NewScientist article.

    Objection #2:
Even if we grant some weight to Michael's claim of corroboration, none other than Billy Meier/FIGU "debunks" Michael Horn's claims. How?

In Plejadisch-plejarische Kontaktberichte Block 6, page 50, a newspaper article - Viel Wasser im Erdmantel (A lot of water in the Earth’s mantle) - originally published in Tages-Anzeiger, Zürich, Tuesday, June 10, 2003 was presented.

    The article reads as follows:
"The Earth’s mantle isn’t dry as previously assumed, but may also contain large amounts of water in deeper layers. ETH-researchers of the Institute of Geophysics found corresponding evidence ("Science", Vol. 300, pg. 1556). Their new measurement data supports the theory that at a depth of 410 kilometers water molecules are incorporated into the mineral layers. Until then the consensus was that this was only the case in the upper layers of the Earth’s mantle. If their assumptions are confirmed, according to the researchers, a water reservoir twice as large as the oceans
would be stored. This finding is useful for geologists: they can draw conclusions about underground movements throughout history."

This 2003 article clearly refutes Michael's claim of corroboration of CR 540, 2012 information by using the 2014 article as evidence.

    Objection #3:
The above Tages-Anzeiger article was actually presented as a corroboration for Meier's information from Contact Report 230 (PPKB 6, pg. 50; translation of the excerpts not yet available on FOM):

...And as you explained, water is not only stored in the upper Earth’s layers, but even hundreds of kilometres deep within the Earths mantle within certain rock layers etc., and in such large amounts that it exceeds the mass of all the water on the Earth’s surface.
    434. That is of correctness.

Information in this CR 230 is far more specific relative to the CR 540 which Michael uses as source for his claims. In CR 230 we have Meier at least pointing out the layer (Mantle) in which this large amount of water would be present and also vaguely the quantity (exceeds the water on Earth's surface), though he didn't specify the region (in kms) from the surface of the Earth where this water would be.

Can Michael now use CR 230 instead of CR 540 as source for his corroboration claims ?

No, because CR 230 was for the first time published in Plejadisch-plejarische Kontaktberichte Block 6 in 2005 and the Tages-Anzeiger article was from 2003.

    Objection #4:
Even though this information was published for the first time in year 2005 in PPKB 6, let us for a moment, consider the year 1989 (CR 230) - the alleged year in which Meier & ET Quetzal shared this information - as the baseline for our analysis.

Is Meier the first person to suggest that the masses of water are inside Earth's mantle ?

As this 1987 science paper - β-MgrSiOo: A potential host for water in the mantle? - clearly indicates in its title. It even goes back to the year 1975.

The following excerpt is from this paper:

"Alternatively, various estimates based on planetary accretion models and geochemical mass-balance observations suggest a bulk amount of water in the entire mantle of between three and six ocean masses 21, 22.

21 Ringwood, A. Composition and Structure of the Earth’s Mantle (McGraw-Hill, New York, 1975)
    22 Ahrens, T. Water storage in the mantle. Nature 342, 122–123 (1989)

    2. Temperature of Earth's core is same as the surface of the Sun

Michael Horn writes the following in his article:

"While we’re at it, an article on the Huffington Post explores the fact that the Earth’s core is as hot as the surface of the sun, as was originally reported in the magazine, Science. Not unexpectedly, Billy Meier already published the essential facts, as Ptaah presented them to him by, in 1986:

    53. The Earth’s core, thus the center of the Earth, is not simply a solid mass, as is erroneously supposed by the earthly scientists; rather, it is a core that is similar to what the Sun is in its entirety."

What does the 2013 The Atlantic article say:

"A new study in Science suggests that the temperature of our planet's core is much, much hotter than previously thought -- 6,000 degrees Kelvin, compared with earlier estimations that were closer to 5,000 degrees Kelvin. This temperature, blazing hot to a degree beyond comprehension, is the same as that of the surface of the sun."

I don't know how Michael connected the verse 53 from Contact Report 212 (1986) to the 2013 article as the verse 53 nowhere suggests anything about temperature, not to say the temperature of Earth's inner core and the surface of Sun as being equal. It just says that the Earth's core is similar to the Sun, which is once again very vague in its description. What features of the Sun and Earth's core are being referred to by Quetzal ? Pressure, density, composition, luminosity, temperature, etc ?

In fact in the next verse after verse 53, Meier clears this ambiguity as follows, which for some reason was ignored by Michael:

    53. The Earth’s core, thus the center of the Earth, is not simply a solid mass, as is erroneously supposed by the earthly scientists; rather, it is a core that is similar to what the Sun is in its entirety.
So it’s a bubbling, nuclear furnace.
    54. That is a good comparison.

So both Meier and Quetzal seems to suggest that the nuclear processes that happen in the Earth's core are similar to those that happen in Sun. In Sun, nuclear fusion takes place.

    From Wikipedia:

"In nuclear physics, nuclear fusion is a is a nuclear reaction in which two or more atomic nuclei collide at a very high speed and join to form a new type of atomic nucleus. During this process, matter is not conserved because some of the matter of the fusing nuclei is converted to photons (energy). Fusion is the process that powers active or "main sequence" stars."

According to mainstream science, Earth's core is primarily not a nuclear reactor. Following is an answer to a similar question - Does nuclear fusion go on at the earth's core? - asked on Yahoo Answers:

    "The answer is no.

    Two reasons:
    1. It is not hot enough
    2. The elemental components are not right.

Fusion is the combination of lighter elements to produce a heavier element. In doing so it releases energy. This is how stars work. As the atomic number increases the amount of energy released becomes smaller, until you get to iron. After this point you have to add energy to fuse to elements together. The core of the Earth is made up of heavy elements that will not fuse. However some of these elements are unstable and will undergo fission; atomic number becomes smaller. It is the
decay of these elements that keeps the interior of the Earth warm."

Nuclear fusion is one of the main reasons that differentiates a planet (Earth) from a star (Sun). Following is an excerpt from this link:

"If an object has a mass of 0.084 times the mass of our own sun (85 times the mass of Jupiter) the core reaches a point where it can start the process of nuclear fusion in its core (see fig.1). If the mass is smaller than this, the lowest temperature to support nuclear fusion will never be reached and the object will never shine like a star."

Let me once again quote what Michael said in his article:

"Now of course the skeptics and debunkers will really have to work hard to tell us just how Meier “hoaxed” his advance knowledge of…so many things. He couldn’t just be – telling the truth about his 73-year-long contact with the Plejaren extraterrestrial human race, could he?"

We have shown that Michael Horn’s extravagant claims are largely based on wishful thinking, unproven presuppositions and ignorance of even the FIGU material itself, rather then objectivity, critical thinking and decent research. He doesn't seem to realize these articles and claims do not at all add to the credibility of the case, but rather give the impression of propaganda fueled by blind belief, at least to anyone who spends even a few minutes to check any of his claims.

ANNOUNCEMENT: James W. Deardorff passed away on Dec 28, 2014

Date of birth August 28 1928
Date of death December 28 2014

James W. Deardorff (Jim) died on 12/28/14 of lung cancer at the age of 86, despite never having smoked.

Jim was born on 8/28/28, the middle of three children to Ralph and Mary Deardorff in Seattle. He was raised in Portland and graduated from Lincoln High School. He spent his freshman year at Reed College then transferred to Stanford to participate in an NROTC scholarship. He spent his fourth year at UCLA studying all the prerequisites for graduate meteorology. After serving 3 years in the Navy he studied graduate meteorology courses at University of Washington, where he received his PhD in 1959. After working on an air-sea interaction project at U of W, he obtained a job at the newly established National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) in Boulder, CO in 1962.

It was at UCLA where he first became involved with folk dancing, and at a dance at the U of W he met his wife, Leona. They were soon married and raised 3 daughters. Over the next 54 years they enjoyed folk dancing and hiking. Leona preceded him in death in 2010.

Jim spent a rewarding 16 years at NCAR as a senior scientist specializing in thermal convection, turbulence and diffusion within the planetary boundary layer. In 1978 he left NCAR with his family for the Dept. of Atmospheric Sciences at Oregon State University, where he was a research professor until taking early retirement in 1986. This freed up his time to pursue frontier topics such as the UFO phenomenon, which led to his further interest in biblical and reincarnation studies. He published numerous papers and books related to his research of these subjects. His work in these fields can be viewed at his principal website:

His brother Don, sister Valerie, three daughters Ellen, Laila, Dana, grandchildren Michael and Kristine, survive him.

Per his wishes there will be no memorial service.
